In September, Dan McLean, president and chief executive officer of
Chicago's MCL Cos., purchased the interests of the projects' owners
for 30 million. McLean is now the sole developer of the planned 200
million-plus project. The 50-story condo tower is on a 1.5 acre site
at Fifth and Pine streets in Fourth Ward (Observer's Doug Smith
column, September 21, 2007). The Vue has 403 units under
construction. Developers project a 2010 completion date.
